Brendan D. Hennessy is a graduate of Temple University School of Law, where he served on the staff of Temple Law Review and as an officer of the Temple Moot Court Board. Upon graduation, Mr. Hennessy received an Alumni Moot Court Excellence Award for his participation in Moot Court and the Kranzel Award for the best paper in the area of federal law. His article, The Partial Discharge of Student Loans: Breaking Apart the All or Nothing Interpretation of 11 U.S.C. 523(a)(8), was subsequently published in 77 Temple L. Rev. 71, (Spring 2004). Mr. Hennessy is also a 1998 graduate, with honors, of St. Joseph’s University. Prior to joining McDonnell & Associates, P.C., Mr. Hennessy obtained significant experience litigating and negotiating employment, restrictive covenant and trade secret cases as an associate with a firm serving as national employment counsel to a Fortune 500 financial company. Prior to this, Mr. Hennessy practiced in the areas of product liability, premises liability, toxic tort and appellate law as an associate with Post & Schell, P.C. Mr. Hennessy presently focuses his practice on personal injury and employment matters. His practice includes representation of clients in federal and state courts and in administrative proceedings involving Equal Employment Opportunity laws such as Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. Mr. Hennessy also handles premises liability arbitrations and hearings as outside defense counsel for a Fortune 100 company throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. Hennessy is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.
