McDonnell & Associates is a female and minority owned litigation boutique. Currently, sixty-six (66%) percent of the firm's lawyers are women. Further, twenty-five (25%) percent of the firm's lawyers are minorities. McDonnell & Associates actively promotes women and minorities in its hiring and promotional practices, and in its commitment to various diversity groups. McDonnell & Associates provides flexible working arrangements for women with families who want to continue advancing in the profession and care for their families. McDonnell & Asociates has monthly luncheons for women/minorities in the firm to discuss various issues facing women and to foster partner/associate relationships. McDonnell & Associates also hosts semi-annual dinners with corporate in house women/minority lawyers and women/minority lawyers from other firms in different practice areas to help develop business and referral relationships amongst women and minorities. McDonnell & Associates is also a proud member of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), which for more than 100 years has been the voice of women in the profession. Courtney Seda McDonnell, owner and managing partner, is an active member of NAWL and currently chairs the NAWL history project. To that end, Ms. McDonnell is working with an author towards the completion of a book length history of the organization. Additionally, firm members regularly attend NAWL functions and the firm financially supports the organization. |
