Daniella Price concentrates her legal practice in the representation of corporate clients in the areas of premises liability, products liability, and employment law. Daniella manages her own caseload and handles all aspects of her cases including discovery, motion practice and arbitration.

Prior to joining McDonnell & Associates, Daniella clerked for the Honorable Jacqueline F. Allen, Administrative Judge of the Trial Division in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. While clerking, Daniella was exposed to comprehensive civil and criminal litigation, and worked on a variety of matters including mass tort designations, class actions, contracts, and Post-Conviction Relief Act appeals. She also worked on developing and drafting administrative protocols for litigating cases in the Trial Division. Through this experience, Daniella cultivated a distinct knowledge of court procedure.

Daniella is a graduate of Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she was on the Dean’s List. While in law school, Daniella participated in the co-op program at the City of Philadelphia Law Department, Labor and Employment Unit, where she successfully defended City management in a disciplinary appeal before the Philadelphia Civil Service Commission. Daniella also completed a co-op at Aqua America, Inc., where she drafted the Supplier Code of Conduct and worked on diverse legal issues including construction contracts, consumer protection issues, and regulatory compliance.

While at Drexel, Daniella competed in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial and ABA Negotiation Competitions. She also served as Vice President of the Women’s Law Society. Daniella is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she was team captain of the Women’s Track and Field Team and recipient of the Dr. Janice Jordan Scholar Athlete Award.

Daniella is an active member of the legal community. She is the current President of the National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division, Philadelphia Chapter. She is also a member of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Bar Association. Daniella’s commitment to community outreach is reflected in her work as a pro bono attorney for Philadelphia VIP, advisory board member for the Making A Change Group, and youth mentor. She also serves on several community outreach committees at St. Luke Community Christian Church.

Daniella worked with the criminal bar of Philadelphia and judicial stakeholders to develop and draft the Juvenile Lifers Sentenced Without the Possibility of Parole (JLSWOP) Program, a procedure and protocol for re-sentencing approximately 300 juveniles sentenced to life without the possibility of parole in Philadelphia. The program was developed in response to the United States Supreme Court holding in Miller v. Alabama that it is unconstitutional to sentence a juvenile offender to mandatory life-without-parole; and the holding in Montgomery v. Louisiana, Court which held that Miller had adopted a new substantive rule of constitutional law and should be applied retroactively. The Court concluded that minors sentenced to life without the possibility of parole must be given the opportunity to show that their crime did not reflect irreparable corruption and that they should be considered for release on parole.

Successfully defended the City of Philadelphia Department of Prisons before the Philadelphia Civil Service Commission, in a matter involving a prison employee’s disciplinary appeal of a thirty (30) day suspension.
