Jennifer brings ten (10) years of litigation experience to the firm. Jennifer focuses her legal practice in the areas of premises liability and products liability for one of the nation's largest retailers. Jennifer represents clients at all levels of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations and trial.

Prior to joining McDonnell and Associates, Jennifer worked as a litigation attorney in family law. Jennifer appeared regularly in court where she handled divorce, support, and custody disputes. Jennifer educated her clients on the applicable law and the risk-benefit-cost analysis of each of their unique situations. She implemented creative strategies to successfully negotiated settlement agreements for her clients. Jennifer was also a member of her firm’s Forensic Support Team, which specialized in litigating cases involving high value assets or complex marital estates. Consequently, Jennifer has experience working with tax specialists, forensic accountants, financial planners, and business evaluators.

Jennifer also has experience handling personal injury, social security disability claims and workers compensation claims.

Jennifer is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association as well as the National Association of Women Lawyers. She has previously been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Main Line Today as well as a “Top Lawyer” by the Delaware County Daily Times.

Jennifer attended College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, before being awarded a Merit Scholarship to Widener University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor as well as a Certificate in Health Law.

As a family law attorney, Jennifer has litigated everything from support establishment hearings to multi-day child custody trials. When it comes to preparing for trial, Jennifer is notorious for leaving no stone unturned. For example, during the pandemic, Jennifer put her detective skills to use in support hearings by tracking down income derived from Covid relief programs.

Sonam obtained a judgment of over $75,000 in Bucks County Court of Common Pleas Civil Division in a bench trial against a contractor who abandoned a project for which he had been hired by successfully arguing violations under the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law.
