Cassidy focuses her practice in the areas of premises liability, products liability, and commercial litigation for corporate clients, including one of the nation’s largest retailers. Cassidy handles cases in Pennsylvania State Court. She manages her own caseload and handles all aspects of her cases including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and trial work.
Before joining McDonnell & Associates, Cassidy worked at a mid-sized multi-disciplined civil litigation firm where she handled medical malpractice and general liability matters. As an associate attorney, Cassidy drafted legal documents including pleadings, discovery, pre- and post-trial motions, settlement and mediation statements, and appellate briefs. Cassidy also appeared in court to present pre-trial motions.
Cassidy graduated from Duquesne University School of Law, Cum Laude in 2021. While in Law School, Cassidy served on the Duquesne Law Review. She also participated in the Appellate Moot Court Board. Additionally, Cassidy served as a Torts I and II Teaching Assistant. Throughout her undergraduate and law school studies, Cassidy worked in the legal field as a legal intern and law clerk.
In her free time, Cassidy enjoys volunteer work, golf and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Successfully argued against pre-trial motions in medical malpractice and premises liability matters, including motions in limine dealing with precluding introduction of certain evidence, and information, after which the parties often decide to settle.
