Martin has been working as a litigator since graduating from law school. He has both jury and bench trial experience. Martin focuses his practice in the areas of premises liability, premises security, and commercial litigation for corporate clients, including one of the nation’s largest retailers. Martin handles cases in Pennsylvania State and Federal Court. He manages his own caseload and handles all aspects of his cases including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and trial work.

Prior to joining McDonnell & Associates, Martin served as a Deputy Public Defender in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a Deputy Public Defender, Martin routinely appeared in Bucks County Common Pleas Court handling all aspects of his cases. Martin has extensive litigation experience from his time as a public defender. As a public defender, he successfully argued numerous pre-trial and post-trial motions. He also tried both jury and bench trials including numerous felony trials. Additionally, Martin prepared and filed numerous appellate briefs with the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Martin graduated from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where he was on the Dean's List and participated in the Criminal Law Society, Public Interest Experience, and the Trial Advocacy program. Martin was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and Best Student Performance in his Introduction to Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy classes. While attending law school, Martin completed a field clinic program at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where he worked on criminal matters and began acquiring courtroom experience. Martin also interned at the Bucks County Public Defender's Office and assisted individuals with their criminal matters. Martin is a graduate of Temple University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies and Communication.

In his free time, Martin enjoys traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.

As a Deputy Public Defender in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Martin handled cases at all stages of the criminal process, from the preliminary hearing to trial. He handled a wide variety of cases, with charges including first-degree criminal homicide, strangulation, driving under the influence, and firearm possession. Martin proudly represented indigent clients.

Martin has won multiple bench and jury trials. Additionally, Martin has successfully argued motions to suppress evidence in a variety of different cases. Martin has also successfully argued motions in limine, motions to reconsider sentences, and motions to reduce bail.
